about

They are building a house, half a block down. And I sit up here, with the shades down. Listening to the sounds, the hammers pounding in nails, thack, thack, thack, thack. And then I hear the birds, and thack thack thack, and I go to bed.

Live at Robert Johnson and Permanent Vacation stalwart Benedikt Frey turns his hand to Modulearic, taking the original 4x4 house track and making a breakbeat groover for the ages. The psychedelic guitar nicely offsets the electronic elements to create something timeless and highly listenable.

Hot off her Banoffee Pies release, Bristol local Yushh delivers a wonderfully driving and IDM infused mix. This dance-floor bomb from the relative newcomer is our pick for building any peak-time set.
After recently releasing their brilliant debut album on Polymath, the mysterious Nøkken returns with a low slung broken beat groove. 808 drums, and 303 bass-lines just always make us feel at home, don’t they?
